Knitting lessons from Alfia Bakieva on a Brazer knitting machine. Embossed openwork on a two-piece knitting machine Openwork knitting on a knitting machine

Embossed openwork
(pattern with horizontal openings).

Embossed openwork is an openwork fabric with elongated loops. Or, we can say that this is one of the options for false openwork. It can be called false because it is performed without decking; the openwork fabric and patterns/patterns are formed only due to elongated loops.
The front side can be either the front or back side of the pattern.
In my opinion, the reverse side is more embossed.

The embossed openwork can be made on any double-face knitting machine.
For work we will need: main carriages and a p-carriage (if any), also a comb.

Option one is to form the pattern manually.
In the next post we will show how the embossed openwork fits with the program.
We cast on the loops on a knitting machine, in this case I made a cast on like a 1x1 elastic band, after 3 rows we transfer all the loops to the main font. We're ready to go.

Note: I will temporarily remove the bottom background just to take photos and show how the design is formed after each step. You don't need to do this.
Our canvas is on the main (back) background, and we will form the pattern on the lower (additional/front) background.
Our main carriage knits in both directions, the position of the pattern regulator is “0”.
The lower carriage will only have to knit when we allow it to. And the settings change for different patterns.
Fontur shift regulator to the “H” position

Openwork horizontal path
Using a comb, on the front font, we push every second needle to the upper working position.

And we knit one row. All carriages are knitted.

And the second row:

Now we need a p-carriage. We draw along the lower contour twice.
From left to right, we raise the needles to position “C”, and from right to left, we drop the loops. If there is no p-carriage, you can manually reset the loops from the lower font.

Our first two openwork paths have formed.

Such openwork paths can be alternated, for example:
- two rows of openwork track, two rows of regular ones;
-continue the entire canvas with openwork paths;
- place all needles on the bottom outline;
-one row of openwork track, one or more regular ones.

With such openwork tracks you can knit summer T-shirts, tops, stoles, and tunics. If we take non-summer yarn, there will be wonderful scarves and sweaters. Well, for this pattern, fluffy yarn with long pile, cotton and linen yarn, which is difficult or impossible to knit with an openwork carriage, are suitable.

Zigzag pattern.
When the openwork paths are completely mastered, you can move on to more complex patterns.
The principle of operation is the same, but we will not push all the needles on the front contour, but in some order, forming a pattern. And we throw them off, knitting one row.

The lower carriage knits only from left to right and idle back.

The order of needle extension.
First row:

We knitted one row and dropped the loops with a p-carriage. We repeat this action after each odd row.
Third row:

Fifth row:

Seventh row:

In a computer or punch card machine, the needles are advanced automatically.
We get a zigzag.

We looked at this drawing as an example, since it shows how a pattern can be formed by manipulating needles. This way you can make circles, irregular stitches, bias stripes, etc.

The master class was prepared by our master Tatyana Rzhaksinskaya, we will be happy to answer your questions if you have any)

How to knit openwork on a Brother knitting machine using punched cards from Silver.

Knitting openwork on a Brother knitting machine differs from knitting openwork on a Silver knitting machine. However, punched cards can be used, and in this video I will show how I knit a simple openwork using “other people’s” punched cards. Here I show how to knit a simple openwork and a partial openwork. You can clearly see how they differ from each other and how they are combined. This is an almost visual step-by-step instruction for knitting openwork. However, this is not the whole topic and I think there will be a continuation.

Partial knitting on a knitting machine

Partial knitting on a knitting machine can be used in different cases. For knitting hems, skirts, necklines, cross knitting, knitting with colored threads. In this video, using an example of making a poncho, I show how I use partial knitting on a knitting machine to round the hem of a poncho. The product is knitted using stockinette stitch or knit stitch. You can also repeat with knitting needles, even if you don’t have a knitting machine. In this case, all the details of the poncho are knitted by partial knitting, but slightly different methods are used when knitting the back parts (the front is knitted similarly to the back) and the sleeve parts. In general, watch the video of using partial knitting on a machine, comment, ask questions. Always glad!

How to knit a poncho. Knitting a large size women's poncho on a knitting machine.

In this video I show a diagram of how to knit a poncho on a knitting machine. Using this pattern you can knit a large poncho. Adjustments were made as the knitting progressed, so a full-fledged master class on poncho knitting did not work out. I will say that knitting such a poncho is simple, but if you have any questions, ask, I will definitely answer. I knitted a poncho for size 52-54, it took enough thread, probably 700-800 grams. In general, I think this is a universal product, where an error of even 2-3 sizes will not play a big role, and according to this pattern it will be possible to knit a poncho by machine, knitting and crocheting easily and simply! Good luck to everyone and good mood!

How to sew a product. Beautiful seam. Hemstitch seam

I suggest watching a video on how to beautifully crochet knitted fabric. This seam imitates a hem stitch, performs several functions - it connects the fabrics of the product, gives an original image, and complements the ensemble of the product. Here are several ways, in fact there can be a huge number of them. It's all a matter of taste and imagination. This stitch can be used to decorate ethnic clothing, bags, blankets, shawls, bedspreads, cardigans and coats. It looks beautiful and neat both inside and out.

Elastic band on a knitting machine. Braid pattern with openwork.

An elastic band on a knitting machine will decorate any product if it is knitted with braids and openwork. Interesting combination. Some will like it, some won't. But it certainly deserves attention. This same simple elastic pattern can be easily repeated with knitting needles. And it will look beautiful too. On a tunic, a light summer cotton blouse, a light sweater. I think I will definitely use this pattern for future use. Such a simple openwork elastic band will definitely make you look slimmer, and the combination of openwork and braids will add some severity to the product. How to knit punchlace or false openwork on a knitting machine. Punchlace on browser

False openwork on a knitting machine. Punchlace - what is it?

Some call it false openwork, others call it jacquard without broaches.

Punchlace is a type of weave that is obtained by interlacing two threads - thin and thick. Punchlace on a knitting machine is knitted using a punched card. The punchlace technique is that perforated areas (with holes) on a punched card are knitted with two threads at the same time, and non-perforated areas (without holes) are knitted with one thin thread.

When knitting punchlace, problems often arise.

I tried to show about the problems of punchlace in the video.

Punch cards for false openwork can be used in almost all applications intended for press knitting, weaving, such knitting and jacquard knitting.

I greet all the participants who supported my idea of an online machine knitting project, as well as everyone who decided to join us and knit this model with knitting needles

May 13 - Starting knitting a top
Virgos, I’m sharing my results, so to speak. So, having tormented my openwork and threads, I decided to spare the needles and carriage and knit using hand decking (the thread is not at all elastic, so it either throws off the loops, or I have to knit it very loosely).
My machine was freed from the previous process and I started this topic today.
I want to show my beginning. Something like that:

Today we only managed to sit for an hour, so the beginning is purely symbolic. I wish you all good luck and easy loops.

Added:
Since this online site is popular in Osinka (so much so that all the material I prepared was copied there), I also allowed myself to use one of their developments. Girls who have punched card machines, this is good news for you.
At Osinka they reworked my scheme for a repeat of 24 loops and laid out a punched card. Here she is:

I wish you all good luck and easy loops.

I also hope to soon finish testing the pattern for the openwork carriage of the computer silver. And if anyone is interested, I can send you a file with the pattern.

Girls, I shared this punch card for Silver and valyushka
